Inspired by the NCAA March Madness college basketball tournament, Challenge employs a bracketed competition format, pitting team against team and school against school. Round 1 will be open entry to students nationwide who meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Official Challenge Rules. From that point on, the top 16 teams will be selected by Nestlé Canada and placed into a ‘Sweet Sixteen’ bracket. Following the creation of the bracket, each team will square off against one other team to advance to the ‘Elite Eight’, the “Final Four”, and finally have a head-to-head showdown in the ‘National Championship’ round.
Each new stage of the competition comes with a new deliverable for competitors, building on their ideas from previous rounds and culminating at the Queen’s Marketing Association Conference (QMAC) in January.
