Inspired by the NCAA March Madness college basketball tournament, Challenge employs a bracketed competition format, pitting team against team and school against school. Round 1 will be open entry to students nationwide who meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Official Challenge Rules. From that point on, the top 16 teams will be selected by Nestlé Canada and placed into a ‘Sweet Sixteen’ bracket. Following the creation of the bracket, each team will square off against one other team to advance to the ‘Elite Eight’, the “Final Four”, and finally have a head-to-head showdown in the ‘National Championship’ round.

Each new stage of the competition comes with a new deliverable for competitors, building on their ideas from previous rounds and culminating at the Queen’s Marketing Association Conference (QMAC) in January.

OUR TITLE SPONSOR

We are excited to have Nestlé Canada return as the QMA’s official Challenge partner this year. As the largest food and beverage company in the world, Nestlé has over 60 well-known local and global brands.

This year’s competition, however, will require you to take a break and focus on one of Nestlé’s most iconic brands: KitKat!

2017 CHALLENGE CHAMPIONS

“ The QMA Nestle challenge was an experience that I am incredibly thankful for. It gave me the chance to take ownership of a real marketing campaign – something that I would’ve never experienced within a classroom setting. Each round of competition brought something new and exciting, which ultimately helped me to develop my abilities in a fun and creative way! – Christy Ma, Queen’s University
“The QMA Nestle Challenge was undoubtedly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Each round of competition acted as its own learning opportunity, collectively allowing me to grow and develop my skill set. At the same time, I had a lot of fun and met many great people.” – Jennifer Liu, Queen’s University
